Soul Search: Culture Questions

The first stage in our process is working with your team to understand and articulate the “soul” of your startup — the emotional energy that enables you to persevere when times get tough.

This involves delving into questions such as:

  • founding story
  • what you value most about each other
  • what you want your customers to become
  • most heartwarming success
  • most heartbreaking miss
  • what change would be worth killing the company to achieve
  • funniest story from the early days
  • inside jokes, memes, or mascots
  • what keeps you awake at night
  • what do your customers most dread; what would it take for them to instead look forward to it?
  • how would you explain your company to a five-year-old
